Karitas Hospital maintains a Poor Fund to pay for treatment of patients who cannot pay themselves. The Fund is supplied by private donations. The annual budget of the Poor Fund for 2006 was 190.000.000 rupiah, which equals €16.000. About 1600 individuals benefited from the Poor Fund scheme.
